Spring NYC: Cherry Blossom Season

I've always wanted to visit Japan because of their rich culture, cherry blossoms, and of course, the food. Ramen ♥. There's really something about the country that kind of draws me.

So about a few weeks ago, I went out with friends to try and shoot portraits. Again, portraits. Just trying to practice, and practice, to get better at it.

I guess I didn't really have to travel all the way to Japan for Sakura. Although I bet that traveling all the way to Japan would be a whole lot of fun, and would totally be a different experience. It's Japan after all. BUT it would cost more than just a metro card so I guess I have to settle for New York for now. I still love NYC but I love Japan a little bit more.

We went to Roosevelt Island, not really knowing that they were holding/held the Cherry Blossom Festival that day. The park was packed, well obviously because, it's somewhat the "official" start of spring. The weather has been making a fool of us anyway.

It was lovely. The temperature was just right, but the place was too crowded but the experience was overall fun. Anyway, here are some of the photos I took that day. Still learning, hope that I'm getting better.

I guess, I have to practice more. As they all say, practice makes perfect. I don't strive for perfect though. I believe in striving for better because I don't believe in perfection. Better is always better. You were better yesterday, but you could be even better tomorrow. I don't make any more sense? Alright. Bye!
