Just around the Corner: Black Star

I had a few minutes to kill before clocking in for work so I decided not to take my usual route. I was supposed to walk to the park and chill for a little while to kill some time. Instead, I find this bakery fresh in the neighborhood.

It's actually spacious for a coffee shop if you compare it to other dine-in places here in NYC. The place gives you a really chill, and relaxing vibe.

Since I did not have that much time to sit and chill, I tried my go to drink (if available) in any coffee shop,  a Matcha Latte. It was a little bit warm that day so I opted for the iced one. I also ordered an almond croissant.

Ever since my friend introduced me to an almond croissant, I got addicted. I feel bad not knowing how good it was. We've only known each other for 2 months, and I feel like I've missed out on the past 20something years of my life. 

Do we even have almond croissants in the Philippines? Pandesal lang kasi sapat na. 

Anyway, if you're looking for some chill place around Gantry then I suggest that you go visit this place.
